“Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art,” by James Nestor, is an interesting read and a great break from my normal business heavy line-up. Breath explores the archeological evidence, and new scientific findings surrounding human nasal, jaw and throat structure and how the have narrowed in recent centuries due to decreased nasal breathing and the softening of foods. Breath comes to the conclusion that breathing from ones nose brings more oxygen and better filters air than mouth breathing.
On the Fletcher Dilmore Book Review Scale, I would give “Breath,” a 10/10, for being a great read for all interested in optimal body performance.
